No, it belongs on the outside. If you park in your garage often, it will be a pain in the a&&… otherwise I’m happy with mine, but I rarely open my garage door in the winter.

Not the garage door, but I've installed it on the entry to my shop office. Works great for keeping in the heat/A/C. Another question was if one can install on garage door opening and drive a vehicle through it. I don't see why not, but would be concerned about scratching.

If you are asking if one can drive their car through it, I don't see why not. I use it as an in/out opening for people and equipment in my shop. It is perfect for that application. It would probably depend on the size of the vehicle.
