Can I operate this with the battery plugged into an extension cord. Will that damage the battery. Is the any problem with recharging when not fully discharged?

what does the round button on the top do? I own 3 of these and have no clue what it's supposed to do. It also does not have an LED light as advertised

The round button on the top is the light switch. I used this once and it was a disaster. It's more suited for a professional. It's heavy and the caulking does not coming out when the off switch is pushed.

When you cut the tip, cut it at about 1/4" opening. Use the caulk, when you are through, I have found that plastic golf tee's work well to sell the the tube for future use. Depending on what you are using, caulk when dried is flexible and plastic tee's are better, but other product wood tee's work well also. If you do not golf, stick an old screwdriver in and use that.

Will a Milwaukee battery work on this

No the Milwaukee batteries will not fit this tool. However, Makita batteries will/do work and vice-versa. The supplied batteries will not fit on the Makita rapid charger and must be charged by the supplied wall wort charger. Great toll and works well.
