Can you rotate / clock the side where the clutch is locate to mount it within a bumper and still access the clutch through the top of the bumper?
I don't know the answer to your question. But, I can tell you I have had nothing but problems with this wench. Connections were loose right out of the box, 2 months later the motor will not engage. I don't recommend this wench.

What size 12v battery is recommended for the 15500 winch?
You need a deep cycle battery like an optima blue or yellow, red will also work. More battery mean more winching without waiting and less strain on alternator

What size are the hot/ground wires on the 6k? Not the length, i need to know if they are 1AWG, 2 AWG....

I have not tried the free wheeling, but dont buy they are cheep quality and you will not be happy with the winch,,,, from old guy that has had lots of winches
