If I wish to mount the 18,000 lb 12 volt winch to the class 5 hitch at the rear of my 2022 Chevy 2500 Silverado pickup, what gauge wire is required to handle the draw at 30' length of wire needed to go from the battery to the rear of the truck? I also would like to know if I should put an "in line" fuse and what amp this fuse should be to protect the system. Thank you in advance for your response

The fuse is 12V450A. The size of the wire depends on the load. If it is often fully loaded, it is necessary to use more than 30 square of pure copper wire.
