It seemed sturdy i sat on it at 170. I did return it because it did not fit in the boat cabinet with out completely closing it up. Not what I was wanting to do every time we needed it.

I'm not 330 lbs. And neither is anyone I know that is using it. At max maybe 220 but we have had no problems with those weights and using the item

It will hold it for awhile. But you have to realize the average person is not always going to put their weight even on both arms always. It is possible to put 600 lbs of twisting force on one side. Then you are up 4 inches higher which multiples the twisting force. That is hard on the toilet bolts and seal holding it to floor. You will get leaks sooner or later that you will not see. So it depends on how old and good your toilet is mounted. I would use it temporarily and make sure to keep weight even on both arms when getting up or siting down.

I think the toilet will hold up to 330 pounds but the lid is not to be used as a seat or step, it will not support that weight.

It’s very steady, it will hold your weight when you are doing your business, but you can’t sit on the lid, the lid is not very strong neither steady! I have used it normally, I never have a problem, except when I tried to use it as a chair!
