Please follow these 3 simple steps:
Loosen all adjustment screws on the pole completely.
Clean away dirt and packing scraps on the pole bottom and base.
Put the pole vertically on the base directly, then stretch it to press tightly between floor and ceiling and lock firmly.
Do not force installation to avoid damage.
