will this replace original throttle assembly for 2005 mercury 9.9hp 4-stroke?

It should. As long as the connection is the same pin setup. The only wires that you will not use is trim and tilt. I don’t think you have trim and tilt on your motor. The trim and tilt wires are the three lose wires on the end of the harness.
