does this charger desulfate ?
Does this charger have a float or maintenance charge so it can be left attached 24/7 for as long as I want?
This 12V5A dual-channel model has a float charge function in the lead-acid mode, allowing it to be continuously connected. The other two modes will cut off the output and stop charging once fully charged.

Is the output amperage per bank or total? For example, can the 5 amp model charge 2 batteries at 5 amps simultaneously, or will it only output 2.5 amps per bank for a 5 amp total?
The 5A rating is total charger output, not per bank. Two batteries would share the available charging current.
