Not sure. Haven't tried to take on airplane. With wheels attached, it will not fit underneath seat. The wheels are easy to remove. I went back and looked at description, and didn't see if it is approved for airlines or not.

It can be used on an airplane. I used it on both Frontier and Southwest this past February and March. It fits under the seat in front of you with a little push down on the top of the case. If you purchase this you’ll need to practice pulling it while turning. If you turn too sharply it can tip over.
