The steps on the ramp are close together. He will be close to the ramp. He will be fine.

I don’t think so, our dachshunds use it to get to top of bed and down.

I have 2 pugs 11 and 15 yrs and they have no problems in using the ramp. It took a couple of days for them to get used to it but no problems now. Glad it bought it should of gotten it years ago.

The walkway is 4 feet long and carpeted. The rungs are carpeted as well so good grips. I have pugs , mine is set at 23 inches and is no problem. You would probably have it one notch lower. Took them a bit to get used to and they tend to run up it. Not sure if that helps.

My dog is a Bug, part Boston & part pug. She's got short legs, as soon as I set it up, she ran right up the ramp like she's been doing it forever. I have it on the tallest setting because I have a tall bedframe .

We have a Shi-zhu short legs I had to lift the lower end up a bit to level it a bit for her she just boots it up and down the ramp! A bigger dog might move it around I have it tied down like I said she runs full speed up it. Works great for us

I don’t think that should be a problem. The ramp has excellent grip for the dog.

The rails pop in and out. Really easy to put in and can be switched to either side and the top of the ramp.

I use the riling because my pet is blind, and it keeps him on the ramp when he goes up it. it may be different for your pet, but it helped my may pet get up and down off the bed.

I suppose they can, but depending on how wobbly your dog is, it's good to use them. There are a few options for where to put them

I have a 70 lb dog and it holds him but he is Leary about the width of it,it could stand to be wider for the bigger dogs

My answer simply as a dog owner, not a carpenter, is absolutely yes. It is exceptionally well made.
