Is it possible to cut the edging in the event a shorter piece is needed? And, if so, what tool should be used?

Yes it can be cut and bent for corners. I used an angle grinder to cut it and used a finishing wheel to smooth out the cut metal end.

Can these be cut to size at home? If so, what type of saw would you recommend. If not, can they be bent to a 90 degree angle?

It is not recommended to cut it. It can be bent 90 degrees.
