The sleeve can be welded to any metal that supports it fully on all sides

The spears come with bushings. We made 2 holes the size of the bushings on a steel plate and welded the bushings into the holes. The steel plate was then set up as a quick attach for the tractor. Works like a charm.

It probably can be, but not knowing exactly what material it is makes it risky. I am going to weld a piece of pipe to my implement and some brackets so it can just slide in the pipe.
