You just step down on the brake above the wheel and it locks into position. There is a release that you step on to unlock it. Very easy and smooth to lock and unlock.
Someone mentioned there was plastic on the top of their cart. Does it have a plastic insert on the top? I need to put mine next to a gas stove, so it all has to be stainless. Please advise, thanks, Karen
