Very bad ad. Unless I'm not seeing it. What is the max. weight the table can hold??????? What to put a 30qt. mixer on it weighing 150lbs and the an additional 8-12 on top of that. So lets say max of 170lbs on top.

Use with no shelve?

With a lot of weight on it (the way I use this table), it would not be sturdy without the shelf. The shelf helps keep the legs in place and square.

Can you get leg extensions as 26" is about 4" to short would love to get a bit higher in height

Not sure about that, but what about some hardwood square blocks cut to the thickness you need to increase the heighth?
