I record my fan. It looks ok but it has only and electrical cord about 12” long with thee exposed wires. Do I need to supply the rest?

Yes, you generally need to supply and install the remainder of the power wiring yourself. The fan is shipped with only a short pigtail and exposed leads for hardwiring.
