If possible always go for a larger size, if space is limited thats another story. You can always downsize with a large 12kg but you can’t fit 12kg in 6kg. It also depends on your objective, type of metal and quantity, instead of 2-3pours you can do 1 large pour with 12kg. Good luck

I learned a long time ago; its ok to start small; However, 9 times out of ten you will end up buying the bigger one anyway. But you will use both if you opt for the smaller one now. They are both great; but you will need the 12kg.

It really depends upon the size of the pieces of metal you are intending to melt. It they are bigger pieces and you require certain weights of finished product. choose the appropriate size. If you are only melting small quantities, use the smaller size.
