Is there an optimal flow rate for water cooling for this?
The maximum flow rate of this model is 8m/h. The model is relatively small. You can add a regulating valve on the pipeline to adjust the water flow rate.

can i add this into the diesel heater exchaust pipe to heat up water for shower in my camper van
For automobile exhaust recovery and heat exchange, plates can be used, but you need to consider the pressure of the exhaust. It is generally recommended that the gas should have a pressure of more than 1 kg to pass through the heat exchanger smoothly. There are also corrosion and energy efficiency issues to consider. The heat transfer coefficient of gas is not as good as that of fluids such as water.

Can these be used for potable water.
Although copper is a heavy metal, it remains stable at relatively low temperatures. We generally recommend that the operating temperature does not exceed 100°C. Please ensure all air is purged from the system before use. We also offer an all-stainless steel model with stainless steel brazing material. Please let us know your specific requirements! This product is a copper-brazed plate heat exchanger. The main body is made of stainless steel, and the brazing material is 99.99% pure red copper. Since copper is a heavy metal, we do not recommend this product for customers with very strict requirements. We do not hold a food-grade certification, but many customers still use this model for food applications.
