I've not had any issues at all with leaking. I drained my koi pond, with this hose and ran a half acre, even up and over a fence. I also cut the hose in half. I am getting ready to use again to drain the dog pool and some things that I left out before I checked the weather report!

I’m pretty sure that it would work in the manner you’ve described. It’s very strong. I use it to pump down pool after a heavy rain and or backwash the pool filter . Sometimes i step on it to remove the water as I fold it up . I use a pool cover pump to way it down but the hose should work . Hope this helps.

I would think it would, the house it self is very durable, not sure how you plan on clipping the ends, that's where you may have a leak if not done correctly.

Just as long as it isn't punctured shouldn't have no problem sounds like a good idea.
