I clean with white vinegar and water.

I just did couple of cycles with plain water. I’m sure you can find something on here.

I only used a very, very little bit of Dawn to a cloth then rinsed several times cause of the bubbles. Mostly I clean 1x a week an I clean an dry it in between uses. In between uses I don't use a cleaning product, only if it sits for a while. I get a full ice bucket for a couple of days full of ice. Depending on how much I use a day, everyday. I'm learning I can go several days before needing to start a new batch. Hope this helps.

It does have auto-shutoff when full. If you leave your ice in, some of it will melt and the resulting water will be used to make more ice.
