This will not increase pressure. It hydrostatically will induce pressure into the line. As a plumber I attach to a hose bibb and can pressurize a line to check for leaks. Main purpose is mainly for newly installed water lines for inspection. If you are looking to increase main line pressure in a home, you most likely need a in line pump. Recommended you check with a local plumbing supply house. They may be able to help you. Pump needs to contain pressure switches to insure you do not over pressurize your system.
