I purchased a vacuum caster like this from another dealer. The dome, which was only about 1.5mm thick at the top, blew up on me. Luckily I was not hurt. Your product says it has, "Thick aviation plastic" on the dome. How thick? What specifically is "aviation plastic"? Thanks

The material is PC. The bottom is 15mm and the top thickness is about 2.2mm. Try not to press the top too hard.

I think this may just be a language translation issue, but the description says --It only accommodates the largest helmet of 4" x 8".-- Can you confirm I can use any perforated flask up to 4 x 8 and smaller flasks too.

The maximum size of the steel pot that the casting room can accommodate is 4x8 inches. Steel pots smaller than this size can be used. However, we only provide 4 silicone pads. For some smaller steel pots, the silicone pads we provide may not be suitable. If the you have a suitable silicone pad, it can be used.

Where is the oil fill inlet cover and how to change out the oil, the instructions aren’t clear.

The red cap on the machine is the oil filler cap. About how to fill the Vacuum Investing Casting Machine with oil: Open the rear cover of the machine, remove the yellow plastic screw and fill the oil slowly to ensure that the oil level reaches the maximum value. The oil level can be checked on the sight glass on the right side of the unit. Fill slowly until the oil level reaches the fill line on the sight glass. Important: do not use any oil other than vacuum pump oil. Do not add oil higher than the maximum line, otherwise the pump will leak oil during operation. Replace the oil filler plug before operating the machine.
