Does the trick! I needed a second OBDII scanner since I just got a second car, because I like keeping one plugged into my port at all times. I can pair it to my dash camera to add even more data to my video overlays, I can pair it to my android head-unit and use it to display live data via Torque Pro, I can scan codes myself without having to go anywhere if I get a CEL. These personal, Bluetooth OBDII scanners are the best thing ever! The instructions insist that you have to use their proprietary app. Don't do that. The instructions explicitly say \"don't pair via phone settings, pair in app\", but that's just for their app and there are already better ones out there. If you're looking at these, you probably already have one of those apps, such as Torque Pro. Ignore the instructions and download the OBDII app of your choice, I prefer Torque. First plug in the unit to your OBDII port and put your key in the \"on\" position. From there, pair the unit to your phone via Bluetooth settings, just like you'd pair a speaker or other accessory. Once you've paired with your phone, then you can open your OBDII app of choice, select your scanner in the app settings, then you're all set. Scan, monitor, clear, all that fun, basic stuff.
