These two batteries cannot be recharged. You can use 1.2V nickel metal hydride rechargeable batteries. Plug in the adapter control board to automatically charge the 1.2V battery.

Question:

The open timer only goes to 11:59 but the close timer is 24 hr clock. We live in a high predator area and are gone to work during the daytime. We would like to set it to open at 4 pm. Is there a way to do this?

Great door

Bought for my elderly parents to help keep unwanted predators from their chickens. Directions are challenging to understand when setting to open with sunrise and close at sunset (we set at a 15 for mid-west Michigan and it works great). The other Great thing we liked is the key fob that come with it. You can stand up at the house and just click a button to open or close the door. The door will not come down on your Chicken. Worth every penny. Not flimsy like other doors.

Excellent!

Great door, easy to install and progeam. It works perfectly* so far (a little over a month of use) and the chickens learned to go in before it closes pretty quickly. I like that it has battery back up for power outages and before I got my plug wired I was using battery only for nearly two weeks without the batteries dying, which is impressive! *I use it on timed open/close so I can't speak to how well the light sensitive setting works.

Purchased this after my other automatic door stopped working and I could not be more pleased with it. It has worked flawlessly and has more features than my old door that was 4 times the price. Easy to install and easy to setup. Would highly recommend.
