VEVOR Drain Cleaner Machine 50 FT x 1/2 Inch, Manual Feed Sewer Snake Auger with 4 Cutters & Air-Activated Foot Switch for 2" to 6" Pipes

This item is a real good deal. It sure beats the price of renting one for the same price.

This drain auger is not cheap but it is still a tremendous value. The unit costs less than having your drain professionally snaked in many cases and if you have troublesome drains, you'll have it for the next time. On our small farmstead, we installed a cleanout to the leach field for the septic system and using this there has dramatically increased the performance of our entire system. I have no doubt that after 50 years, the pipes were completely full of vegetation because I pulled out a tremendous amount. Using this is easy to figure out though there are instructions; however, it is hard work. You do have to manually push and pull the cable; however, the machine takes care of spinning the blade. I found the machine drains okay though I prefer to dry it when putting it up long-term. This machine is incredibly durable and will last most non-plumbers a lifetime. If you're a plumber, you probably don't mind having a unit that is 200lbs heavier and that auto feeds a 100' line. For me, this is the perfect balance of overkill for my property but an overall great buy.

Was as shown in description.

I bought this because a friend was having to call a plumber out every six months or so to clear roots from the sewer outside her house and was about to call again when she asked me why the roots keep growing back. This had been going on since she bought the house seven years ago. I figured if I bought a snake I could clear it for her every time it started to backup, and save her some money. This thing pulled quite a bit of roots out of the drain. It has plenty of power to clear a clog and was easy to use. It got the job done. I ran a camera down the pipe afterward and found a spot where the tree roots were growing in through a broken joint. I dug it up and replaced that section of pipe and now everything is good. And I now have a reliable snake (drain cleaner) that I can use to help others.
