Description
Pro-level performance without the pro-level cost
This portable RV water softener uses ion exchange resin to soften water for your RV. Built with NSF-certified food-grade resin, it features a 12,000 grain capacity and up to 950 gal / 3596 L of softened water, lasting up to 19 days. Enjoy smoother skin, softer hair, and better lather in your RV.
With this portable RV water softener, you can recognize hard water through everyday signs, helping you understand when water softening is needed.
Using this portable water softener helps reduce scale buildup on RV plumbing, extend appliance life, maintain laundry quality, and improve overall water comfort for daily use.
This RV water softener is easy to install with no plumbing required, allowing one person to set it up quickly and start enjoying soft water right away.
This RV water softener can be regenerated in just a few simple steps, making it easy to reuse the resin and maintain long-term softening performance.
The thread on the top of the FRP pressure vessel tank is a 2.5"-8 NPSM (2.5-inch Straight Pipe) female thread, which is the industry standard for composite fiberglass resin tanks used in water softeners and filtration systems.
The ion-exchange resin can be regenerated repeatedly throughout its 3- to 5-year overall lifespan (typically every 1 to 2 months depending on water hardness and usage). Rather than a fixed maximum number of regeneration cycles, the resin continuously regenerates using standard salt whenever softening efficiency decreases until the beads naturally degrade after several years of use.

Tighten the cap back on, reconnect only your fresh water hose to the Inlet port, and turn on the water supply very slowly so a gentle, pencil-thin stream trickles out the outlet for 15 to 20 minutes—this allows the brine to draw across the resin beads and strip away accumulated hard minerals. Finally, turn the water to full pressure for 2 to 3 minutes to perform a fast rinse until the outgoing water no longer tastes salty, then turn off the water, reconnect your outlet hose to the RV.

To regenerate your VEVOR 12,000 Grain Portable RV Water Softener, start by turning off the water supply, releasing line pressure, and disconnecting both hoses. Open the top cap, pour out a small amount of standing water, and add about 2 lbs of plain, non-iodized table salt (or water softener salt) into the tank using a funnel.
This product has a diameter of 7.09 in/180mm and a height of 15.55in/395mm.

Q&A states this can be stored on its side when traveling, but can it be used, (mounted) on its side? since it isn't gravity dependent, I'm guessing you can, but would have to unmount to change salt.
