Had to put a few things together but that is expected. Been needing an air compressor that I don't have to wait on for air. I should have bought this years ago but just couldn't seem to afford it. Can't really afford it now but what's the saying, "you can't take it with you" and I figure I will be in debt until the day I die anyway so......... Back to the compressor, added oil to the engine and pump, filled it with gas, turned on the fuel valve, choked it, and ONE pull and it was pumping air. SERIOUSLY, ONE PULL!!! Was surprised at that and then when it idled down after building up pressure in a matter of just a few minutes I noticed something. The belts had stopped turning the pump! WAIT, WHAT??? I didn't know it had a clutch to stop and start the belt drive! WOW!!! My harbor freight 6hp gas powered one that I bought 10+ years ago, that still works great but is no where near the ANIMAL that this is. It just idles the engine down and trips the pressure valve to vent excess. I paid like $500 for the harbor freight one back then and I just looked and the new one like it is now $1300. Wait a minute! With Pro savings and a coupon I paid $1373.82+ tax for this one. Theirs is rated @ 10CFM @ 90psi and this one is rated @ 33cfm @ 115psi. Theirs has a 6.5hp this ones has a 15hp. Theirs has a 9 gal tank this one has a 30 gal tank. This one is on wheels so it is portable but it also weighs over 270lbs. So if you need air and can afford this then I would say that there is no other that comes close for the money. I will probably plumb this into a larger tank for a bit more volume for sand blasting but other than that this thing ROCKS!!
