AJ I was so excited to use my big double canister DI system, and the price was amazing. I watched videos to make sure I understood every aspect. Firstly the trolley does NOT stand upright. Fine, nbd. I pulled out the system and ran an RV filter before the DI. I flushed it just a few gallons until the water wasn’t totally cloudy. At that point the lowest it got was 7 ppm per my cup and tds test. The in line meter said 0. Then, about 3 gallons later, 12 gpm. Then, after just a snow foam and then a rinse off, I was back to my starting point, 160 gpm. I got 0 benefit. Actually, it seemed to leave a weird film on my car that I had to actually unhook the system and run my normal hose water through the pressure washer to try to get this foggy film off streaks off. I guess it’s the resin… probably terrible regenerated resin. I actually like the canister set up so I’m going to buy some resin and try to refill it, either I’m an idiot who will end up wasting more money, or I’ll salvage it, but right now, looks like CR spotless is going to be coming.
FYI my neighbor came over while I was washing and he happened to have a CR spotless, so I hooked up to his and used my handheld ppm meter to eliminate possible user error or tool calibration issues. His showed 0 ppm. So I know for sure this was the Vevor. If you want to buy basically a DI system that removes most tds for a gallon or two, then buy resin for it, maybe this will work. But it was a bust for me.
ALSO note: if you use the splitters that come with the system, it doesn’t prevent back flow after the outlet, you’ll need to either watch Cars with keav on YouTube or just get an extra shutoff valve to keep water from flowing back into the system when bypassing.
