I have never tried a weighted blanket because I was concerned they would be too hot. At my age, I do NOT need anything that makes me uncomfortably warm while trying to sleep. It honestly amazes me that this blanket somehow adds no warmth to my bedding configuration. Like, how can it be 10 lbs. and not make you feel warmer? I think it helps that I use it on top of cooling bamboo sheets?
The weight is a bit intense, at a little less than 10% of my body weight, but it's as satisfying as everyone reports. It does promote better, more comfortable sleep. It works exactly as intended, appears well-made, the color was true and, therefore, comes highly recommended from this buyer!

I have always worried about getting a weighted blanket, because I tend to sleep hot. But this blanket is not so overly insulated that I burn up and sweat through the night. It is a comfortable weight, and soft on the skin. It isn't the most attractive, but one should really prioritize function in this case. My main concern is that it is a touch short; I often find my feet poking out; I am only 5'6, so if you are taller one might find even greater issue.
