Quietly moves just as much water as the 14 year old Doughboy pump with howling bearings and a leaky seal that it replaced. It has vents on the bottom side that are right next to motor windings and make me question whether it's really safe to have in a wet and/or outdoor location. I verified my GFCI circuit breaker was working and mounted the new pump inside the outer plastic housing of the old pump to make myself feel better about this - the motor diameter was the same, so this could be done with only a moderate amount of effort. If it starts tripping the GFCI all the time, I'll update this review.

I used the pump to cool the ice cream machine by recirculating coolant , it is perfect for the job. The noise level is a bit higher than normal. The flow is is perfect for the machine and for the value. Should design to have the option of micro filter to catch the unwanted calcium buildup, that would be perfect.

I have this pump on a 27’ above ground pool. It’s been on about 1 week so far. No leaks and has good power. I had to plumb the outlet to my sand filter using a different hose due to it not matching. But, this pump saved me about $200 from the OEM. I did buy the extended 3year warranty for $30. So far so good. For the money, it’s hard to beat.

I have in-ground pool, and the pump is about 35 feet away and 1 foot higher than the skimmer line. My power is 240V. This is my 4th pump overall, and it seems to be better than all previous ones I had before. I've been running it on a timer 16 hours a day for just over a month now.

Bought this pump in August 2022 to replace a Hayward that failed in 14 months. It is now August 2024 and this pump is still going strong. We open our pool in May and close it in late September or early October. This pump is still as quiet as when it was new. I was replacing the Hayward's almost every season. Not any more, not with this pump. If and when this one fails, I'll replace it with another from Vevor.

Motor seems very strong and IS VERRY quiet. I personally do not like the way the lid attaches to the strainer. So far I have not gotten a complete seal on the lid. There is always a drip. The oring is in the channel and lubricated with jacks 327 as recommended. I understand its all new straight cut plastic but it does not go on smoothly. Really thinking of swapping an old strainer assembly with the new pump. Then it would be 5 stars.
