I would never say the sauna of any kind should replace active life style, or routine exercising. But this can assist your cardio and weight control. However if you are a seasoned Sauna user, the temperature of this blanket may be on the low side, as it goes up to 115oF at the most. It seems there are two kinds of product, and this one is about 7 pounds in weight, and the other kind is 20 pounds - the heavier one is more expensive, and it may deliver more heat. You can go on to their website and check things out. But I do feel price of this range would not deliver any heat more than this one can. When the heat is 150oF, then your skin temperature would be lower by a few degrees, as your body would become a \"heat expelling\" machine to protect your organs through sweating, and breathing etc. to maintain a normal body temperature; so your HR raises. If your HR raises to the maximal HR zone of yours by lying there, that heat could be too much for you unless you have been used to that challenge, such as you are a decent athlete.
