Practical, efficient and cost effective solution.
This pump does the job it’s meant for. Easy to install and get working. Very cost effective pump. Connect it right, use it for specifications meant for and you won’t go wrong.

Works Great
Easy to set up and get going. Moves a LOT of water through it in a short amount of time. It's a good quality pump that we are please with.

Great price - solid power - poor wiring
This 2.0hp dual speed pump is by far the most affordable dual speed Inground pump you can find. After spending many times more to only get a few years use out of them i went cheap with this one and so far it’s worked great. The pump body is well made - basket and impeller construction better than my previous doheneys model. It runs much quieter than my previous 1.5hp pumps and uses less amps as well on both speeds for a higher flow rate. The water connection threading seemed slightly larger than standard so be prepared to tape and seal to get around leaks. The wiring on this pump is a downside - it is non standard and not marked correctly on the unit. It is easy to do if you read the instructions and look at the (very small) wiring diagram, just not what it should be for a 240v device in the US. You will need to crimp on some yellow 10-12ga quick connects - it does not have compression screw posts. The only other issue I have is the pump runs pretty warm on high. Once I am able to run it more often in low I expect it will be much cooler for the rest of the season. I am not sure how long it will last - but at this price it is on par with my previous models if it lasts a season.

Rotating exit port
The instructions state that rotating the exit port is done by removing the input strainer, then remove 8 "bolts" and turn the port. Ya, no, the 'bolts' are actually screws and have nothing whatsoever to do with turning the port. Remove the strainer as it says, then remove the end cap on the other side. unfasten the 4 bolts there ( do not pull them out ) turn the exit port and re-tighten the 4 bolts, replace the cap and strainer. Other than spending 30 minutes fussin with the exit port this is a good pump, I bought 2.

Hard to hook up cause of the fittings
I use this for my pool but due to the weird fittings I haven’t yet hooked up. Still trying to find fittings that will work

Extremely Impressed
Product was as described and outperformed my previous pool pump

Very good replacement pool pump for above ground pools.
This pump took over the jump when my old pump died at the beginning of summer. So, far this is working great. It pumps out a lot of water and runs good. It is easy to open the top lid and clean out the basket. The pure copper motor should provide seasons of fun in the water. Circulates the water well for my 24 foot round pool. Trust you found this review honest and helpful:-)

Great Pool Pump
For the price, this is a great Pump! I replaced my 1 hp Pentaire with this pump and it works great. As always when you change manufacturers you will have to re-pipe the filter to the new pump. The pump came with its fittings for the intake and output and it didn't take much to adapt it. I have solar heating panels on the roof of my house that peeks at @ 14' the pump has no problem holding the pressure as it pumps up to the panels. The pump is quiet and primes itself. Just remember it is not necessarily about the HP as it is about the Gal.Per.Minute

Gets the job done. Questionable safety choices.
Quietly moves just as much water as the 14 year old Doughboy pump with howling bearings and a leaky seal that it replaced. It has vents on the bottom side that are right next to motor windings and make me question whether it's really safe to have in a wet and/or outdoor location. I verified my GFCI circuit breaker was working and mounted the new pump inside the outer plastic housing of the old pump to make myself feel better about this - the motor diameter was the same, so this could be done with only a moderate amount of effort. If it starts tripping the GFCI all the time, I'll update this review. The factory extension cord is attached under the "end cap" with spade connectors that make this easy to integrate with old wiring. The end cap hardware is quite magnetic - so not corrosion resistant and this is all going to rust in the presence of chlorinated pool water. There's no seal, gasket, or O-ring under the end cap. Another questionable safety decision. Another reviewer mentions that the white plastic hose adapters are not the right thread type. I can confirm this. With egregious amounts of teflon tape, you can slow the leak to a drip, but not stop it. You'll need to get different fittings. This reflects poorly on the outfit that got this wrong, but the people packaging the fittings with the pump are probably not the same ones who designed and built the pump - which appears to be perfectly reasonable quality. Spectacular quality for the price paid.
