Pumps nicely. Very quiet three months in.
I put a little plastic sun protector housing over this pump to keep it from getting so hot in the direct sunlight. It works well but needs to be full of water to start. It won't self-prime and if there's only a little water in the filter basket the pump will just run without doing anything.Electrical connections are pretty much straight forward. I left the cord in place but think it could be better.

Worked 2 months
Worked 2 months and then just hums when it was working it was fantastic and powerful. It would cost too much to repair. Will buy a new one. The cost of owning a pool I suppose.

Easy to install, worked great.
We had two pumps the Alpine Corporation 1800 GPH Energy-Saving Vortex Pump for $169 and the VEVOR Swimming Pool Pump 5280 GPH, 1.5 HP 115 V, 1100 W Single Speed Pumps for Above Ground Pool w/ Strainer Basket for $149.When we put in the pool, we weren’t sure which pump would work best. Both worked well for circulating the water and had no issues with either one. The Vortex was so easy to hook up and worked like a charm. Love our little kiddy pool.
