Works great . Bad instructions.
This pump works great! Exactly what we needed. We have a 24” round above ground pool. Wayyyyy quieter that outr old pump . From our deck, I can’t tell if if it’s on ! The only downside were that directions are not clear for turning the return outlet horizontally (instead of vertical). We figured it out on our own after a bit but directions on this are next to nothing (and we’re incorrect) if you are trying to install it yourself.

Not a self-priming pump
The product was delivered very quickly. It looks like a quality piece. The electrical cord had a small section where the outer casing had scraped off but still very useable. Amazon would have accepted a return for a replacement but I did not have the time to wait. Another consumer of this product reviewed it as 1 star. Clearly they did not understand the principals of a centrifugal pump. This pump will not self-prime and must be situated below the water level. Vent off the air be cracking the lid open slightly while filling with water. Start the pump after being properly filled and it works great. The white fittings that come with this pump are not the correct thread for the pump housing. The white fittings are pipe thread (sealed by using Teflon tape) while the pump housing has straight threads that seal with the use of an O-ring. The pump comes with a standard straight plug on its electrical cord. Electrical Code in my area requires a twist-lock connection. Overall the pump seems to be of very good quality. Easy to install other than the need to swap fittings and cord from my old pump to this one. It operates quietly and smoothly. It has strong discharge pressure. The only reason for not giving a 5-star rating is that I am not sure of its longevity.

Really moves the water
I like this 2.0 hp VEVOR pump that replaced my 6 year old Hayward 1.0hp pump. This sucker really moves the water with a lot of force. The only drawback is that it doesn't have an on/off switch, which is fine as I use mine connected to a timer with a remote control. I can turn it on and off with the remote or set it to run for 2, 4, 6, or 8 hours at a time. The only time you need the on/off ability is when you are backwashing the sand filter. I've only had this pump for 3 days now, but so far so good.

Practical, efficient and cost effective solution.
This pump does the job it’s meant for. Easy to install and get working. Very cost effective pump. Connect it right, use it for specifications meant for and you won’t go wrong.

Great price - solid power - poor wiring
This 2.0hp dual speed pump is by far the most affordable dual speed Inground pump you can find. After spending many times more to only get a few years use out of them i went cheap with this one and so far it’s worked great. The pump body is well made - basket and impeller construction better than my previous doheneys model. It runs much quieter than my previous 1.5hp pumps and uses less amps as well on both speeds for a higher flow rate. The water connection threading seemed slightly larger than standard so be prepared to tape and seal to get around leaks. The wiring on this pump is a downside - it is non standard and not marked correctly on the unit. It is easy to do if you read the instructions and look at the (very small) wiring diagram, just not what it should be for a 240v device in the US. You will need to crimp on some yellow 10-12ga quick connects - it does not have compression screw posts. The only other issue I have is the pump runs pretty warm on high. Once I am able to run it more often in low I expect it will be much cooler for the rest of the season. I am not sure how long it will last - but at this price it is on par with my previous models if it lasts a season.

Rotating exit port
The instructions state that rotating the exit port is done by removing the input strainer, then remove 8 "bolts" and turn the port. Ya, no, the 'bolts' are actually screws and have nothing whatsoever to do with turning the port. Remove the strainer as it says, then remove the end cap on the other side. unfasten the 4 bolts there ( do not pull them out ) turn the exit port and re-tighten the 4 bolts, replace the cap and strainer. Other than spending 30 minutes fussin with the exit port this is a good pump, I bought 2.

Hard to hook up cause of the fittings
I use this for my pool but due to the weird fittings I haven’t yet hooked up. Still trying to find fittings that will work
