What a sweet refrigerant scale! After unboxing, I installed the included 9v battery (which has a little, molded place to keep a spare 9v battery in the case), zeroed the scale, and checked to see how sensitive the scale is using the scale's included pamphlet. Using the ounces setting, the scale is sensitive enough that a person could use it for weighing mail. I also grabbed a full 25-pound bottle of 410A refrigerant which weighs just under 35 pounds and messed around with the scale's position in its case—that is flat in the case, and with the scale half in and half out of the case and the bottle of refrigerant weighed the same. The reading on the scale tells you if the weight is stable or not as well with a tattle-tail stable light (see photos). I checked the accuracy of this refrigerant scale against a clunkier scale that I (have been) using to measure pounds of refrigerant for charging and this scale was spot on with my old scale. The scale has three unit types: ounces, kilograms, and pounds. The scale also has a backlight that stays on when turned on, and off when turned off in case you're working in a lower light area. I also really like the scale's case. The case is slim, and has the nicer-style plastic latches that work better and are more secure than the one-piece blow-molded case latches. All to say that I really like this scale!

This refrigerant scale is very sensitive and highly precise. I weighed the accompanying instructional booklet several times and I got consistent readings without any fluctuations each time. It appears to be robust and long-lasting. I used it to charge my mini-split AC system with no issues. This is an excellent choice for those seeking a basic yet reliable option, without breaking the bank on pricier alternatives. Highly recommended!

As a professional automotive technician I do a lot of A/C work. When at work I have access to a automatic machine but at home I use gauges, tanks and scales. This scale is awesome and works for weighing recovered refrigerant or charging. It comes in it's own case to protect it. The scale can be used in the case if desired or simply taken out and set on a flat surface. The corded display has buttons for power, zeroing, weight type and backlighting. The scale can measure in pounds, ounces or kilograms. The display is clear and highly visible. This unit is very accurate and works great. 5 stars for quality and value.

I’ve attached a video to go over a few items as well as to give you a closer look and demonstration as to the functionality of this refrigerant scale - you might want to give it a look if you are interested in purchasing this Vevor scale. In my testing, I’ve found this to be an accurate, and remarkably sensitive scale, with it easily detecting the weight of a sheet of paper, and at the same time, providing consistent, repeatable readings when measuring objects of varying weights. As the owner of two other refrigerant scales (which I also used to compare this Vevor with), I’ve found this Vevor model to be equally comparable, capable, and up to the task. The design of the scale is similar or almost identical to many others on the market these days, and it comes with a good, hard-side case to protect the scale for transport or when not in use. Based on my testing, I have no concerns about accuracy or function – it is every bit as good as my other scales. The only issue that bothers me a bit is the length of the coiled wire from the scale to the digital readout display. It is shorter, and the coiled wire is annoyingly over-sprung, so for me it limits the amount of movement or distance that the digital display can be moved or placed from the scale itself. My other two scales have longer wires, and the coils are more compliant making it easier to have some freedom of movement and/or placement of the display. The current price for this scale is about $61, making it the best value of the three scales that I currently own. Its accuracy is excellent, and it gives consistent, repeatable results. I would have no issue at all using this scale for reliable, accurate measuring, and but for the length of the wire, which I realize may only be an issue for me, I think this would be a five-star scale and an excellent value. This scale is at the least a four-star product, and others who don’t have an issue with the wire could easily see this as a five-star product in my opinion.
