'-My first impression is that it looks well built and seems it should be durable. I'll update with any problems.-Someone else reported overheating problems right off the bat, but I haven't experienced that.-Vevor makes a wide range of pump products, with prices hard to beat. They've been around a while, but this is my first experience with this brand.-I'm using to replace a Hayward motor and it fits just fine. I was a bit nervous changing out the motor, it's my first time repairing an in ground pool, but it wasn't difficult. An equivalent in the Hayward brand runs about $230. If you're not sure about doing it yourself, your local pool shop will do it for a very nominal fee.'

Lucky I have decent electrical knowledge as the instruction manual was not much help. However, the pump motor comes packaged really well as the box I received had a chunk out of the corner but everything inside was secure. The pump motor comes wired for 110v but it is easily changed to hard wired 220v. I had the pump motor installed with new gaskets for our spa jets in about 30 minutes. I really expected a cheap light weight motor but this thing seems built very well. It runs smooth and is 75% more quite that the 1980 model Challenger motor it replaced. It circulates water much better than previous motor. I really like how Vevor placed the capacitor on the back motor housing instead of mounting it on the top. I think this will help save the capacitor from the sun and heat. Overall very pleased with purchase related to quality, exact replacement, and more power with less noise!
