Bought for a friend

Recieved it quickly. Was easy to assemble. Did a quick water distill with thumper and had no leaks. The pots were thick enough, but the big pot (8 gal) had a very visible seam going down it. Hope it holds up over time.The thumper keg didn't have a down tube, but I cut some of the water line from the worm to fashion one and it worked fine. Some simple copper fittings & pipe from the hardware store would be best.Would not recommend the 8 gallon for stovetop use.Overall. A good starter kit.

It's a good still that gives you everything that you need. The main issue is that the silicone seals/washers/gaskets (whatever you want to call them) are not very durable. Be ready to buy extras and have them at hand. Highly recommend doing a test water run before doing anything else. Works well!

i heard some talk about this set up leaking but its air tight. the worm pot and worm should be made a little larger. ive had a problem with it not cooling the steam enough

So for what it is, it is not a bad set. There are some initial tweaks that I had to make to make sure the system was tight which leads to next part.The pots and especially the lids are rather thin and not as sturdy as I thought they would be from the pictures. This helped though in forming (re-bending the lids) in order to get a tight seal. Once I did a little adjustment, the system worked quite well. Two runs through it and there are no leaks and everything seems to be holding up well.

this does work greal my dislike is the thumper is acually a puke box not a thumper

It makes some very good distilled water and distilled flavored water and it's very easy to use and set up.

WOW, I got this thing to make beer and have a chiller for my sweet wines from the worm pot.this should do the job.The extra little pot called a thumper will be nice to put on the stove and warm ingredients and ferment the yeast for beer and wines.Will have to try this this winter coming.
