This is perfect for what I do! I use it to polish rings. Made a ring mandrel using it how it was intended. Thinking about making wood rings now. Great for the price. So far so good!

They say this is not for turning pens daily but I have found that to not be true. I do think this lathe needs 2 styles of rests because the one provided is sometimes too small. Easily fixed with a piece of aluminum angle, but still. There is a level of patience required to setup the piece you want to turn. This machine is customizable to work better. For example, sometimes...but not frequently...the provided tip to hold the material is too small. Easily replace with a cut drywall screw or wood screw. You can also purchase separately an adjustable chuck, which fits inside the key chuck provided. That makes some types of turning better on this lathe. I highly recommend after using it but YouTube is lacking on videos for these. The media reviews at the time I write this review are poorly done or done by influencers that don't really try using it properly. Do not compare these to mini lathes. Mini lathes are around $200-$300 dollars and more powerful than this micro lathe.

I'm a weaver and a member of my weaving group mentioned using a lathe to wind yarn onto bobbins for weaving looms. Actual winders can be quite expensive, but this mini and affordable lathe works perfectly for my needs.

Just know that it's for little jokes, and tighten that chuck!!

It's what you would expect. Needs adjustments to be true. Decent quality. Adjust the tail stock and it works as it should.

This unit works as advertised. It is a bit weak but it is what was advertised. The motor can be easily replaced with a 550/540 can motor.

As long as it doesn't break within the first week of being able to use it I guess it will be okay. My flex drive grinder internal shaft broke the first time I used it. Been having a tough time with kidney replaced in warranty with this company. Going to give this what a chance I need will determine whether or not I buy anything else from this company.

Everything I expected!!! I'm using it for making wooden rings and it works great for turning them. the only "not so good" is the quality of the turning tools, however i purchased it for the lathe not the tools. I would recommend for it small turning.

I am very happy with this little machine and it's just perfect for making turned stanchions for my model ships. I had never owned or run a lathe before so I was quite surprised at how easy the machine worked and with my fist sample stanchion produced too. It's a great hobby tool and I intend to get a bigger one for turning masts and spars in the near future.

Functional for very small projects; low torque, fixed (unchangeable) headstock with limited strength to hold spindles. There are no accessories available for this unit. Probably a good value for learning or a hobbyist with very low expectations.
