It seems like a great product except the base isn't stable enough to handle the head extending very far. The clamp works as long as you have a place to clap it. Obscure tip: If you don't have something to clamp to and you happen to have a cymbal stand with a boom mount, the rod on the bottom of the light fits perfectly in the boom clamp and is very stable.

Great price point and an overall awesome magnifier. Love the built in light! I use this mostly for weeding tiny bits from Cricut vinyl. But I also used it the other day to manicure my nails! Best self manicure ever! I absolutely love this!!

I love this magnifying light so much I bought another. I also shopped for magnifying lights on that other big site. Most of the offering over there was for 10x magnifying glasses. We typically think bigger is better, but in this case I prefer the Vevor 5x light. That's plenty of magnification to read small print or remove splinters from my hands. I did buy one of the 10x ones from the other site for comparison. The problem with 10x is you lose too much field of view and the distance to focus is tighter than with the Vevor 5x. That's the physics of optics; there is a trade off when you go to 10x. I'm going to re-gift the 10x one to my parents :-) Not only did the Vevor optics work better for me, the touch controls on the head worked better than the 10x one and even the LED lights seemed a lot more vivid than the 10x one.
