bought this kinetic rope because chains are terrifying, and it works extremely well.
Picture this: an older gentleman was loading his boat at a local ramp and backed his half-ton pickup just a little too far. The rear wheels dropped off the concrete and sank into the mud. He asked if I had anything that could help pull him out.
Luckily, I did.
I pulled the VEVOR kinetic recovery tow rope out of the supplied bag and hooked one end to his truck and the other to my 3/4-ton pickup. Now, I know what you're thinking — obviously the larger truck should be able to pull out a half-ton pickup. We all know that. But I was still impressed.
I backed up to his bumper, put my truck in second gear, gave it the full “2-wheel peel,” and dumped the clutch. At that moment, something was definitely going to happen. Was an axle going to snap? Were the tow hooks about to leave the chat? Or was the whole setup — truck, boat, trailer, and all — coming out of the mud?
I was pleasantly surprised to feel the kinetic rope stretch and recover, smoothly pulling the entire rig out with zero damage to either vehicle. The rope performed exactly as I hoped it would, and I’ll be carrying it in my truck year-round from now on.
