Makes for a beautiful countertop!
I had to run another 220 outlet to be able to install, but once that was completed, installation was pretty straightforward. The unit works well and is very easy to use. Good visual appeal, and super easy to clean. Great deal for the price.

Big enough
Big enough. This is big enough to fit in The renovated home that my friend is redoing. It is a good quality and works well.

PERFECT
My FL, snowbird grandparents just purchased a summer home here in RI & they did a full rehab from top - bottom. They need to furnish the entire 3 bed/2 bath home as well as new appliances. But the house runs on oil & propane which is OVER $4 gal. I thought this induction cooktop could save them money on propane. They didn't give it much thought until they were waiting on their stove on backorder; my grandmother called & said they couldn't believe how well induction cooks! Remind you they're 85+ years old & are old school - trying to get them to try new products is hard. They both said, they thought it was just a fancy electric burner. Their stove is getting delivered this week & they said they will continue to use this because of how evenly it cooks without drying out dishes. She even asked her contractor about installing it but they decided not too, and just keep this on the counter or away when not in use. That made me happy knowing I could help them out

I have a two-burner plug-in portable induction unit
I use that two-burner unit in my outdoor kitchen and love it! (I do have a two-burner propane gas unit, but on windier days, instead of erecting a wind barrier, I just get the induction unit out). I had an old coil style electric stove/oven unit that was no longer working properly. Recently, I purchased a multi-use microwave oven that bakes and air fries (as well as other things) and is large enough for a big turkey, so I made the decision to remove the big, clunky old stove/oven unit and replace it with an induction "stove" unit without having an oven as all I need is included in my multi-microwave. The only thing that I had to deal with was having an electrician come in to remove the plug behind where the original stove/oven sat and use that to hard wire this induction unit for me. What I love is that it is a flat surface and I also have a silicone mat that I put down on top of the burner section when not in use so not only does it stay cleaner when not in use, but the silicone mat provides some safety for the induction top (from getting cracked/broken). Last, just recently I purchased a set of beautiful stainless steel pots/pans and they are such a joy to work with on this induction cooktop. My outdoor, two burner induction stove has knobs and that's why I like this one - it's familiar and I am older and knobs are easier for me to use (or maybe just more comfortable using). Oh, and I do love having 5 cooking areas!

Make sure you have e induction pans!
Well start with cons-Okay so instructions are so so in regards to operation of cooktop-Specifically the picture shows pressing the dial for on off-it's actually the little square above the dial if you hold it down it turns it offPros:-it's induction and heads so fast!-love the rapid heat setting because I can boil water in 3 minutes-easy to setup and install-wires were sufficient for short or longer length to main power supply-CHILD LOCK is fantastic!!!!

Works well
This thing works great with my stainless steel pans. Water boils in a few minutes. Came intact and ready to install. You do the wiring, it just sits on top of your counter.Installation was easy, but I did have to cut a few inches out of my counter top (it replaced a 30 inch GE from 1988); inside dementions are 29.5 inches by 19.25 inches, then there is a 5/8 inch lip around the top. Wireing was easy, it has 3 wires (hot, neutral, ground). No wiring instructions included, but it does require a 220V which is what most cooktops need anyway.Once on, it's pretty quiet. HOWEVER, one of the burners made a horrible noise when teh fan was on, I looked underneath and saw a wire had shifted during transit and was hanging in the way of the cooling fan. I used a butter knife to bend the wire away from the fan and now there are no noise issues with any of the burners.

Great magnetic induction stovetop
I have only had it a week, I found a favorite stainless pan that works wonderfully, So I fixed the handle to it. I tried mac & cheese, the water boils quickly, I spilled some food on the cook top, but it was cold, so it wiped away.

Great way to cook!
I was in the restaurant business and had culinary training, but this is the first time I tried induction cooking. I have a six-burner gas cooktop and thought I would use this cooktop occasionally and stick with the gas cooktop. In the month since I got this cooktop, I have used it almost exclusively. I used the gas cooktop only twice to cook rice while I did the main cooking with the induction cooktop.

Good product
I bought this so I could test out how I like induction burners. It really is great. Heats up the pan(s) really fast and has good temperature control. What I didn't expect was the size and the fan/noise. It is *really* big. Like there is a good inch on either side of the burner spot and probably 2-3 inches in front and back. So it isn't really the sort of thing that you can just leave on your counter unless you have a lot of counter space.
