Bought this ice machine for a customer that was giving it to his old employer has a gift. So i had it shipped to my house which came really quick. So the day of install went smooth getting it in place and getting the drain line and water supply line installed. I proceeded to power the unit up and the screen lit up and the blue light inside the unit. But what i didnt see or hear was the little black pump mounted on the inside to the right, i tired to open the top of the pump motor but was sealed pretty good and didnt want to break that. Anyways so traced the pump motor wire down to back of it so i pulled of the back metal cover panel and found a 2 pin connector that was the problem. What happened in manufacturing was the pin inside the connector didnt get all the way pushed in and locked into the plastic connector resulting in bad/loose conntection. Keep in mind i was ready to pack it up and send it back to amazon but already had 3 hours into this install. I rececomend not using the cheap filter that it comes with and buy a good one that will filter chlorine and other particles in tap water. I also used a drain clamp witha 3/8 push in fitting for the drain line, i will do a follow up review in a few months to see how its doing.
