Vevor 46" sheet metal brake
Finally got this thing out of the box. Coated in oil, used brake clean to remove same, only it also softens and removes the cheap blue paint that is over sprayed on the working ends.Paint got into the threads for the handles on the end castings, had to chase them with a tap for the handle rods to go in.Bent some 29" duct sheet metal, does give crisp bents at outer ends where clamped, centers leave much to be desired due to flexing of the clamped down bar Going to have to modify the clamp bar which is flat welding on another flat to make it an inverted T and see if that stiffens it a bitThe moving surface actually goes well beyond 90 degrees which was a pleasant surprise.Thinking of drilling some holes at each end and welding in a nut on the underside, then adding two small springs and bolts to act as clamp down instead of the C clamps provided. Will reduce the working width to about 34 inches but allow a much sharper bend to about 135 degrees. Conclusion is that this is good enough for simple jobs at this price point, just don't expect it to do what the 300 and up machines can do.With the mods it might prove to be even more useful. The cheap C clamps are a pain as they are loosey goosey. Best to do the mod or use better quality and smaller clamps.

Good as long as you don't try to push it
I bought this specific to bend some aluminum flat stock to make boxes to glue to my vinyl fences where the latches are as the matches kept pulling away from the fend because they had nothing solid to grab onto.As you can see in my photo this brake did a nice job on the aluminum flat stock with nice and clean 90 degrees bends.Pay attention to the listing and the thickness this will support because of you try to exceed it like I attempted it won't work. The brake held up but when I tied to exceed the thickness rating the handles that you pull on started to bend. No damage done to the brake but you need to set your expectations according to what is listed as it's max thickness for the material you are working on.The clamps it came with were not that good and as I have a wooden bench I just screwed the brake into place while using it as you can see in my photo as that gave me the best leverage.

Saved me money on window deletes for my school bus
I bought this metal brake rather than buying custom window deletes for my Skoolie conversion. It worked very well to make several window deletes reusing the metal I removed from my bus ceiling. Total cost was less than the cost of two window deletes. Would definitely buy again. Super simple for a beginner to figure out, too.

Portable, light and easy assembly
Great value just the right size for small work. Easy to move and light enough to move by yourself. Would buy again.

Quality, cost,
Solid made, allows you to fab jigs for round bends with 2x4 and castors. Multiple bends on 18 gauge no problem. Longer handles might let you do 16 gauge. Excellent 36" bending cap. Used 3" lorin deep throat 750 mm clamps to lock down.

Very nice bench top unit for very light metals
I would have given 5 stars but if you use the full 36” then there’s no way to see where the fold will happen and therefore difficult to line up the hold down bar. However, it’s well made and a great value for light material bending. Highly recommend.

Useful for the casual user
I needed a metal bender (called a metal break). For the price, this one is fine for the casual user. It would be a pain in the neck for someone who wanted to bend metal a lot. I just need to do this on an occasional basis. Two C-clamps come with it to hold the bar that clamps the metal in place and forms an edge about which the metal is bent. It has a 90º side and a 45º bevel that allows you to bend metal more than 90º. The C-clamps provided are cheapies, but they suffice to hold the bar in place. I might replace them with higher quality C-clamps. I had success in my first bending attempt. I'm making a mailbox to meed the new U.S. Post Office standard. The new standard is 13.63” wide x 7.75” tall on sides, 12" tall at center x 16.5” deep.
