What a great little machine; perfect for my needs! Delivered before expected, takes up little bench space and easy to set upThe box contains all that a person needs to get started. I haven’t tried the little stick of blue compound included, but the (cheap) safety glasses and extra set of motor brushes are thoughtful. It is amazingly quiet and totally vibration free as long as your buffing wheels are good. I was a little worried about replacement wheel availability, but found that other brands of wheel with 1/4" bore work fine. The motor does not have a lot of torque so can be bogged down, but this is a buffer not a grinder. If you follow the instructions and common sense and let the wheel velocity do the work, it does the job quite well.

I have used large dental lathes in my previous line of work for many years. I ordered this one to buff up jewelry for my 'hobby' business. With the proper buffing compound, this little thing works great. Brings out a shine to sapphire set rings I make like they're new from the jewelry store. It does not take a lot of speed or pressure to get a really nice buff and shine. I would recommend this for light types of buffing needs. I have not tried it on a grinder set up but it seems that too would not be an issue.

The polisher is well built. Good price for an 8 inch. Nice wide extensions on shafts and plenty of threaded space for any sized wheels. Good rubber feet for grip to table or work surface. Though definitely recommend bolt down to reassure no wandering while running. Runs like a roadster. Good power for rust removal. A definite yes for home or pro shop.
