needed another set up for a swarm I just couldn't resist capturing. This was a decently priced hive so decided to give it a try. Set went together as promised, well made. Will see how a beeswax coating lasts, but fairly thick coat in place on outside of boxes.Foundation was beeswax coated, frames were very easy to assemble. Only thing I had to add was I put hardware cloth inside the windows on the side (which I love! seeing whats going on inside is fun!) Only wish there was an option for a screened bottom board. Bees have settled in nicely and are busy filling up the boxes.

What a deal! You cannot beat it anywhere! It has everything you need to start, split, or get honey, other than the bees! The best part is that you get to build everything yourself, well, put it all together! I Iove that the entire box is wax coated so you get to keep the beauty of the wood on display! The access panels allow you to have a quick peek i side or easily s.oke the hive! I do t think I'll ever own anything else! Just purchased my second hive box to do another split.

This is the 4th hive kit I have purchased. Price is great and quality is on par with the competition.

This is a beautiful beehive, very picturesque. The BONUS on this hive are the removable windows on each box- HANDS DOWN- Great for viewing safely - close up, without disturbing the bees! A couple of items I believe could have been done better ; Include plexi-glass (or some transparent shield) for the windows and include nails for the frames. Or please state that these are not included or even make them optional for an extra charge. However this BEAUTIFUL beehive comes fully waxed, with two brooders, one super, one queen excluder interchangeable entrance reducer. There are artificial foundations for each frame in the hive (10 for each brooder and 10 for the super).

Very nice! This was a fun activity to put together with my 9 year old grandson! We always need to keep teaching skills

These Bee Hives are easy to put together. Painting is required since they have a wax coating. The door on the side is easy to install. It provide a quick way to look inside the hive and see the activity. One of our hives split and we caught the swarm and put it in the hive. As soon as we got the queen in, all the bees followed her inside.

This is great for the beginning beekeeper. It was easy to put together and all the parts were included. The Shipping was extremely fast- It seems like it usually takes and extra 3 days to get my mail and packages, but these arrived within 4 days of ordering.

I was a little apprehensive about ordering these hives, but I was pleasantly surprised. Shipping was fast. Instructions were fairly easy to follow. Solid fir wood boxes went together pretty easily. Lots of natural bees wax coats the wood. The frames take the longest, but once you get your rhythm down it goes quickly. Plenty of wax on the foundations too. The only criticism I have is I wish they would have put handles on the boxes both front and back and both sides. The handles are only front and back. Other than that, they're definitely worth the money. I would order them again.
