Compact, powerful, and long lasting battery. A great 1/2 drill for a good price

After going through two Black & Decker cordless drill drivers and a cheap Chinese brand over the years, I thought they were all basically the same. I decided to invest in this one, and I love it. The battery life is great. I first got this about eight months ago, and I only had to charge the first battery a week ago. And I didn’t have to slow down because it comes with a second battery! I use it a few times a month.

Lots of power and battery life. Battery packs are easy to charge and replace. Weight distribution and compact size are nice features. Can't comment on longevity yet but durable so far.

being in the automotive industry your holding power tools etc above your head.. you need a light drill to do the job.. not a heavy drill.. originally i wanted the 12v brushless since i have a 12v screw gun and the 12v 3/8 impact but not for 139 bucks..... so i saw the 20v compact was 96 so i took a chance and its light.. normally id use Milwaukee but their heavy and i didnt want another charger on my tool box. since my charger does 12v and 20v this fit the bill. already used it to drill a few subaru ball joint bolts out. worked great. little to no fatigue holding this drill up in the air. the batts are on the low side for batt life but since yo get 2 and they charge pretty quick . you can't complain for the price you pay.. you literally are paying for the batts and getting the drill free lol

Smaller than some other Dewalt drills. Good for around the house but felt overworked drilling 1/2" steel. Dewalt products have been hit and miss for me so yes I would buy again because I already have Dewalt products, but I would recommend to someone buying there first to just go ahead and go with Milwaukee

I have always thought DeWalt stands for Quality and this doesn't disappoint. For a small battery, this has a long life. The unit is well balanced and is a little heavy, but I don't mind because it feels solid in my hands. I have had mine for about a year and bought this one as a gift for Christmas.

My drills take a beating. Dewalt holds up better than any of the other brands.

There is no tool that I use more than a drill and Dewalt drills are the best. I have a 1/2 inch corded one that is a beast and I am a little afraid of and a 18V that I have worn out and then this one which is my all time favorite tool. Getting the drill, charger and battery on Amazon for under 100 dollars is such a good deal.

Love this DeWalt 20v Max compact drill. Replaces my old DeWalt 12v that I have had for years. The new one is lighter and much more powerful. I would love to keep the 12v too but cannot find a reliable battery for it. You cannot go wrong with the 20v Max compact drill.
