Making tons of ice and loving it! This is kind of a shredded Ice, not quite pellet, but I love it. The only thing I don't care for is that it is pretty loud. But I'm adjusting!

We have had a number (4) of commercial ice machines and once we had flaked machines, were set on that type. Flake machines use a cylinder evaporator that freezes the ice around its inside wall. An auger scrapes this ice upward and deposits into a storage bin. The water level in the cylinder is set by a small tank with a float valve connected to the cylinder. When the storage bin is full the system shuts off until either the ice melts or it is consumed for use.There are a lot of moving parts, but these are built to last for years. It is important to filter as much as the mineral content out of the supply water as possible. It requires a water supply line and a drain since the stored ice melts away, this prevents the ice from clumping, but you can always harvest some and put it in a freezer.I chose this unit for its size, capacity and power consumption. Since they can run a lot, for home this was a consideration. Hands down this unit is the best match for us, making plenty for our needs. The unit is built solidly, worked as advertised, had a good manual and looks like parts would be easily available. It was a good price, probably the best for a new flake machine. I have had it about 6 weeks now and it is very impressive!Someone had asked what the noise level was and I just got around to measuring it and it comes in at 60 dB standing 4 feet in from of it, very quiet. Compared to other ice machines I've owned this is the quietest by far!

We use this ice maker for personal use and our employees love to come in for a snow cone or icy drink. My wife loves what she calls 'good ice'. She knows every convenient store in a 20 mile radius that sells 'good ice'. Now she has it at home. Ron C

The only thing I do not like about this machine is how loud it is when it's running, other than that, I have thoroughly enjoyed this machine...I love the ice.

Easy hookup and produces great crushed ice

We bought this as a Christmas gift for my mother whose old commercial size machine died after 30 yrs. She loves it, it works great, is quiet, easy to set up and makes the shaved ice she loves. The price was great compared to other models we looked at worth every penny to see how happy she has been with it, with everything going on in 2020 it was the highlight of her year.

It was delivered damaged. Seller has been responsive to resolve issues. Hopefully it works as good as the reviews I've read. Stay tuned.

Best ice maker and very efficient for a family under the counter.

I just got my Vevor snowflake ice maker hooked up; it only took me 30-minutes, and it took only 10-minutes to start making ice. My wife and son were both delighted and said, "now that's soft ice". It's truly like the ice served at Sonic and Captain D's, and nothing like the Opal and GE nugget ice makers produce. Before getting this icemaker, I returned three of the competitors "nugget ice makers", because they didn't make true, soft ice. Instead, they made small hard nuggets of ice that could possibly break a tooth or a filling. Now, back to this icemaker, it makes about as much noise as a dishwasher without good soundproofing, but that's no problem for me because I set it up in our garage, which is well insulated, and it's heated and air-conditioned. It's actually a bit large for most countertops, but would fit well below countertops, built in like a dishwasher or small fridge. We are going to thoroughly enjoy having this icemaker, because it makes true soft ice, not nuggets! It's been running about 10 hrs. and is really cranking out the ice fast. I can't testify as to its longevity yet, but I do believe it will last a long time because it's made more like a commercial ice maker, and it's only slightly higher in price than those fake soft ice making machines. I'll get back to you after operating this one for several months. PACKAGING: I was thoroughly impressed with the Packaging for shipping. These people must have written the book on packaging appliances for shipment. It was unbelievably good, and it would have taken an awful lot of rough handling to scratch or dent this icemaker; they had it sitting on a solid wooden pallet with several layers of protection completely surrounding it. PRODUCTION: This icemaker holds 11 lbs of ice and is supposed to make 55 lbs of ice per 24 hr. day, but mine has already exceeded that amount in just 10 hrs. I believe mine is probably making closer to 100 lbs in 24 hours. NOTE: Make sure the drain line from the icemaker travels dow
