this device works effective and when you find your sweet spot it holds that temperature very well

Setting this thing is a pain. So I bought a Hummingbird temp controller/w temp probe for about $15.00

Temperature goes to 350F and can spin the stirrer faster than you'd probably ever need it to. I highly recommend buying this instead of a more expensive one. I have had no issues.

Well made and sturdy. Good solid base and everything functional.

It is a good value. True, the temperature control is finnicky, but with some patience and a thermometer it can be achieved. I turn the temp dial all the way up for 10-20 seconds then gradually down. As a point of reference, my unit achieves a temperature of around 100-120 F when the marker on the dial points about between the E and A of the "HEATING" inscription above it.

By far the best magnetic stirrer/hot plate money can buy. I dont know how or why it is so cheap but who cares. I am very grateful to this seller. Dont waste your time or money and buy this magnetic stirrer. I use it to make medical grade THC oil that can help fight cancer. Fabulous. Thats all I can say. Plus it shipped fast and was packaged superbly.
