I installed this heater in my new sauna 2 weeks ago. I have zero complaints thus far.I have the 9kw with the external controller.The installation and wiring were not bad at all.I'm not an electrician, but after staring at the schematic for 10 min I figured it out .She fired properly but man oh man did the elements smoke for about 20 seconds . Like really heavy. In fact I'm going to take away a star for that . It freaked out my wife and put her in a. " no " state of mind the rest if the day. Thanks a lot eh.Overall, considering how much more the fancy heaters cost and how great this heater has worked for me ( well, so far ), I recommend this heater . . One FYI , you'll need another 5 conductors to go from the controller to the heater.

I’ve used this heater a couple times now. Does what it is supposed to, heats rocks and room to 180f in 20 min. Certainly a value for at least $500 less than the big names in sauna. The wiring is always the big question. I am not an electrician and you should consult a local professional electrician for installation. However, I ran an 8/3 with ground from panel (40 amp double pole breaker) to the sauna control box. Ground to ground, white to neutral, black to L1, red to L2. From control box to heater, 8 AWG to neutral, 8 AWG to L3 and 10 AWG to all three L4. This is USA 240V.

I was worried it wasn't going to get hot enough but it definitely does! It takes about 40min to get it to 200 degrees, which in reality is more like 175 at our head level, but it is hot! Our sauna is 6x9x7.5 and this heater is perfect for that size. We transformed our old shed into a sauna and we needed an electrician to come and pull a new wire to the shed since this uses 45 amp and the regular outlet only gave 15 amp. I would not be able to wire this whole thing so when you buy it, just know that it won't work with a regular outlet.The heater by itself is amazing, it does the job, and the one thing I really wanted was to be able to pour water over the stones. I usually throw just a little water over and so far we have not had any problems with it. We absolutely love it and would definitely recommend to everyone.

First things first: I can't comment on long term performance, these are my initial thoughts:My heater came in with a little damage, seller gave 20%off with no haggle, I opted to keep the unit as it sits behind safety fence and damaged side is facing the wall.1. It's not UL approved, don't even think it will pass electrical or building inspections, you're on your own with this one.2. I highly recommend unit without external control unless you're comfortable and knowledgeable with electric wiring. External control is designed for European circuits and workaround is needed to make it work in US.3. Stones are not included. Don't get "coasts" ones from Amazon, look for the repackaged ones from "the sauna source" and make sure to rinse them off well.4. Unit will let out smoke for a little bit ( mine was about 30 min, I've read some will smoke up to 3 hours so may be a good idea to temp-wire it outside and do a test run.Overall, not bad. It heats up our 8x7x7 room to 105C(220F) in about 25min so may be not full 9kw but pretty close. We sprinke water on it and it let's off great steam, so it's true dry-wet sauna.I LOVE external controller - we can set up temp and run time,it shows current temp in the room and we can set a delayed start if needed. We can also set it on the schedule if we wanted too. It controls light in the sauna too (although we had to wire two in series because it does 240V out since it's designed for European markets.Overall - great unit on the budget. Seller is very responsive (5 stars for seller!) I rated unit 4 stars because controller is not designed for US markets and wiring diagrams are not representative of how it really needs to be wired.

Great and powerful heater ,Had issues wiring it correctly, so decided to add photos to help those who are in US.Warms up very quickly. So far so good.Will update if anything changes.

Heats my sauna up in 30 min. Works well, looks good. Not sure why you would buy a 3x more expensive Finnish heater, this thing gets the job done.Notice that at first it puts out smoke because of the oil on the coils. This stained my wood. Would be best to let it smoke outside first.The electrician was dissatisfied with the size of the conduit holes st first, but it ended up looking good. See photos.
