Came earlier than needed. It was a great price but wrong time of year. Can't wait until sap season to be able to try it out.

Pan feels sturdy and is cleanly assembled

Pleasantly surprised at how rigid and well made the pans were. They were well packaged to protect them in transit. Nearly ready to put them to their intended use.

Arrived on time with no damage. Was packed very well with all components protected. Started boiling my second batch yesterday. Good quality evaporator.

Like others, I feel the thermometer is mounted too high, it takes 10 gallons of sap in the pan to submerge it. Overall the pan is good quality, and this was my first "real" maple pan, although I have been boiling for a few years. The prewarming hopper is a nice touch and will hold exactly 5 gallons. I initially used the pan on my Blackstone flattop griddle, i just removed the cast iron griddle and put this over the burners. It worked, but the boil was slow. I then built a wood burner out of 25 cinder blocks and some 6" stove pipe and this worked much better.I did realize after purchase that I would have gotten a bigger surface area out of a 2x2 pan, but I like the prewarmer on this one.

This evaporator is a solid design, mirror finish inside makes it easy to keep clean. Even heat distribution. Only thing is wish the temp gauge was able to be right side up but not a big deal.

Boiled down about 50 gallons of sap so far this year. Works great. We love the pre-heater reservoir. You can open the valve so it drips into the main pan so you don't have to "babysit" the boil process.

Thermometer came broken but the rest of the unit is high quality and professional grade. It works well and is quality built.

I am happy with my pan.I have used it for about 45 hours of boiling sap.
