The handle for the ball valve is on the side when tightened all the way down instead of being on top where it should be. Despite this 1 issue it works great, holds quite a bit of sap and renders it down quite well. As the mesh skimmer I grabbed couldn't get out all the dirt and small bits of tree bark I put a coffee filter on the end of the spout and used twist ties to hold it on to catch all the debris I couldn't get out with the mesh skimmer. Worked quite well. It's quite easily cleaned. To keep from overfilling I only poured in about 5 gallons at a time, it also helped with rendering time as it got to boil much faster than if I filled it with all the sap I had.

Overall I'm pretty happy with this pan. I'm currently using it and it seems to be well made and able to heat evenly. The frustrating part is the included spigot which leaks. For the price I expected it to be leak free.

Got this very quick in the middle of the sap season. It is well built, not in USA. Solid material. Fits over 2 portable burners. Takes a full load of sap (about 30 gallons) and in about 5 hours brings it to a point where I can remove and transfer to a pot to finish in house. The fittings provided are solid built. Company does provide thread tape. I did experience some dripping from the fittings but solved this by making sure the tape pierced the thread and was tightly wound in the thread groves. This thing really performed.

Boiled 300 gallons of sap so far. Evaporator is doing the job I expected. My only wish is that it would have had dividers in it rather then just a support down the center. For the money you can't go wrong. Just plan on putting a little mire into it and have someone out dividers in it!

The pan is very well built. Perfect welds nice bends. The thermometer is up a little to high for me i like to run at about 2” deep. Other than that i would highly recommend it.

I like the quality of this pan can't wait to use it.
